22 Week Update

Hi All!

Today was our 22 week appointment. Nothing too much to report. I gained 5 more pounds (which the doctors assure me is right on track) and my stomach is measuring the right size.

Based on the heart beat, the doctor guessed today that we are having a boy. Of course she told us that was simply a guess and not to put any money on it! Regardless, Jason was just a little bit excited. He has heard nothing but "girl" since the day we found out we were pregnant!

It's a ???????

Just got back from our 20 week ultrasound appointment (even though I'm only 19 weeks, 2 days). This was the appointment where we could have found out the sex of our baby, but we stuck to our guns and decided to wait!

The ultrasound was awesome! Baby is looking good.... a whopping 9 oz in weight!!! He or she was squirmming all over the place and for a couple seconds sucked on his or her hand! Here are 3 of the ultrasound pictures... believe me, they don't do it justice.

Here is the baby's profile. The head is on the right hand side with the nose and lips pointing up. You can also see his right arm and belly.

Here the baby is looking right at you. You can see the eyes really well and it looks like he or she is waving to you. See also the spine towards the bottom. Here is the bottom of the baby's foot pushed up against my belly. The toes are on the right hand side.

18 Week Update

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to give you a quick update! This morning was our 18 week doctor appointment.... baby still has a strong heartbeat, and my belly is finally starting to expand! The doctor says if I lay on my stomach I might be able to feel him or her move! I'm going to try it tonight!

I have gain 8 pounds total these past 4 months... 4 in my left boob, 4 in my right boob! In 2 weeks we go for our next ultrasound... I will post those pictures as soon as we get them! We can find out the sex of our baby at that appointment, but we're still standing firm on being suprised come April 28th!

14 Week Update

Hello All!

Just got back from our 14 week doctor appointment. Everything is still going well. Baby's heartbeat sounds great! No new ultrasound pictures this week... but here's what I'm looking like at 14 weeks.

Here are our baby's first pictures. These were taken at our 9 week doctor's visit. At that visit we saw the baby kick and stretch... and even more awesome, saw the heartbeat!
