Coming Home From The Hospital

It's a Girl!

I'm sure most of you have already heard, but just in case you didn't...

At 1:47 on Tuesday morning Jason and I welcomed Jaycie Bernice Bushman into the world!

She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz, was 19.5 inches long, and has tons of dark hair!

We arrived home this afternoon so I am finally posting some pictures!

40 Weeks

Well... we made it! We are official 40 weeks pregnant! At our doctor appointment on Friday we found out that my cervix is finally dilated and it was 80% effaced! The doctor seemed pretty happy with my progress from last week. Since the baby has dropped, the doctor has scheduled our induction for Monday (tomorrow) if labor doesn't naturally start this weekend.

I'll keep everyone posted!

Baby Bushman can now arrive... the window seat is finished! I must say I'm pretty impressed with Jason's carpentry skills. Thanks to Paul (Jason's brother) for his help too!

39 Weeks

Hello!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Jason and I have been trying to keep busy these last few weeks hoping the time will past by quickly! We've been going out as much as possible and have been doing last minute things around the house and yard. Jason started (and should be finished soon) with the window seat! I'll post pictures once it's in the room.

Friday we went for our 39 week doctor's appointment. Nothing too new to report. I'm still not dilated, but by touch the doctor can tell the head is really low. She also said that if the baby hasn't come by May 2 she will induce me. That was nice to hear!!! We are ready to meet our little one!

38 Weeks

Hi All,
Well... nothing happening, which I guess I should have predicted! Doctor says the baby is low and my cervix is soft, but still no dilation. I gained one more pound and baby's heart is still beating away! I joked with Jason that Baby Bushman has decided to stay inside Mommy until Daddy gets the window seat finished!?!? Hopefully that will happen this weekend. If so, I'll post pictures :)
